The closest option for Mystic visitors is Williams Beach Park. This is the village's only public beach and although it's small in size, it does deliver. There are numerous places to go swimming or just enjoy the sun and water. There is no lifeguard on duty so swim at your own risk. A playground is also on-site for kids to enjoy. The Mystic YMCA is also close to the beach.
Esker Point Beach is a great place to go if you're looking for a quiet experience on the beach. This man-made beach is about 600 feet long that has facilities for swimming, picnicking and relaxing. There are restrooms on-site. There are no lifeguards on duty. Visitors have access to a plethora of free parking.

Watch Hill Beach is a great place to take the family as it's more than just a beach. Rates for the beach are $12 for adults and $6 for children 3-17. Along with a great beach, the spot is also home to a merry-go-round. The merry-go-round is available in the summer months and costs $4 for a ride and brass ring game or $1 for just a ride.

duBois Beach is open to visitors but there is a charge to pass through the gates. Day passes to this beach are $10 a person for all those 19 and older. Children 18 and under are free. This beach is open on weekends during the summer and there is a lifeguard on duty from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a great place to go swimming, explore the jetties for crabbing or relax on the sands.

The beach is chock full of amenities including picnicking, a playground, swimming, fishing spots and places to launch kayaks. The beach's season is the summer months.
